Continuous Improvement Goals

2021-22 Literacy Goal

Teachers will be focusing on moving all students toward proficiency on the following skills:  Key Ideas/Details as identified by the ACT.  This work will specifically focus on….

On the spring 2021-22 Aspire and ACT assessments students will improve in the following college and career readiness percentages:

  • 9th grade students will move from a mean of 19.7(2021 fall PreACT) to an average of 21 (2021 spring summative Aspire)
  • 10th grade students will move from a mean of 20.7 (2021 fall  PreACT) to  an average of 22 (2022 spring summative Aspire)
  • 11th grade students will move from a mean of 22.4 (2021 fall Pre ACT) to an average of 24 (2022 spring ACT) 

2021-22 Math Goal

We, the teaching staff of DPHS, will identify and purposely implement course level essential standards so that all students are prepared for the next course. On the spring 2021-22 Aspire and ACT assessments students will improve their college and career readiness percentages in the following categories on the math test:

9th grade

  1. 9th graders will maintain a score of 50% proficiency from the fall PreACT to the Spring ASPIRE Summative in the Preparing for Higher Math category.  
  2. 9th graders will improve from 47% on the fall PreACT, to 50% on the Spring ASPIRE Summative in the Algebra category.
  3. 9th graders will improve from 42% on the fall PreACT, to 45% on the Spring ASPIRE Summative in the Number & Quantity category.

10th grade  

  1. 10th graders will improve from 41% on the fall PreACT to 45% on the Spring ASPIRE Summative in the Preparing for Higher Math category.  
  2. 10th graders will improve from 35% on the fall PreACT to 45% on the Spring ASPIRE Summative in the Geometry category.
  3. 10th graders will improve from 42% on the fall PreACT to 50% on the Spring ASPIRE Summative in the Geometry category.

11th grade

  1. 11th graders will improve from 49% on the fall PreACT to 50% on the Spring ACT in the Preparing for Higher Math category.  
  2. 11th graders will improve from 46% on the fall PreACT to 55% on the Spring ACT in the Geometry category.  
  3. 11th graders will improve from 48% on the fall PreACT to 55% on the Spring ACT in the Functions category. 

2021-22 Student Engagement Goal

Our goal is to offer as many virtual and in-person activities as safely possibly during the 2021-22 school year to allow as many students as possible to feel connected to DPHS. 

  1. Develop and implement a process that allows groups, clubs and athletics to participate in in-person activities.
  2. Work with the local health department on an approval process for activities.

Progress will be monitored by the Athletics Director and High School administrators.
