Learning Lab
What is the Learning Lab?
The Learning Lab is an on-site child care and preschool facility that is an integral part of the high school early childhood curriculum. We host a preschool program and extended care program for those using our sister program, which is a district entity, the A.M. and P.M. 4K program. The children attending the Learning Lab are between 3 and 5 years of age be the 1st of September of each school year.
High school students enrolled in Infant and Toddler, Introduction to Early Childhood Professions, and the Early Childhood Practicum classes in the Family and Consumer Science program have the opportunity to gain field experience in early childhood education. The early childhood practicum is supported by and coordinated with the high school early childhood curriculum standards. These students take on multiple roles in working with the children of the Learning Lab.
